Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been awarded numerous awards including one Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, she was named to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She also received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress when she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. She was part of the main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) along with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. In the following year, O'Hara and Candy began working on the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received critical acclaim for both her work as a comedic actress as well as a writer, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
